Fluorotechnics is a life science technology company specializing in the discovery, development and manufacture of research tools for the global research, biotechnology and diagnostics markets. Fluorotechnics is based in Sydney and has offices in Stuttgart and San Francisco.

As part of our rapid growth strategy Fluorotechnics is committed to an active international M&A program. The first of these acquisitions was completed in November 2007 when Fluorotechnics acquired German based, ETC Elektrophorese-Technik.

ETC specializes in the development and manufacture of high-end electrophoresis consumables, including gels and buffers and instrumentation for the life sciences.

Fluorotechnics is set to establish the Group’s finance function at ETC’s office in Kirchentellinsfurt and is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to work closely with the soon to be German based CFO to develop a strong finance team.

The Financial Controller’s primary purpose and focus is to take responsibility for internal and external reporting. You will ensure total compliance with all local and international financial and statutory obligations and provide information that is accurate, timely and insightful. Coordinating the external audit process and assisting the business with forecasting, budgeting and business planning are also important elements.

The dynamics nature of this fast growing business will provide numerous commercial challenges and requires a person who thrives on working in this environment. You will be involved in projects aimed at delivering on-going improvements to operational and financial systems throughout the group, all aimed at assisting Fluorotechnics in becoming recognized as an innovative global market leader.

We are seeking a multi-lingual certified management accountant (German:Bilanzbuchhalter) professional with the drive, enthusiasm and expertise to effectively lead a diverse finance team. The role requires technical excellence, an international focus and a genuine passion in providing detailed financial information to aid management with decision making. Previous industry experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
